I worked at UCB as an employee. As Information System Manager, I was in charge of projects related to the Production. And one day, I had the chance to lead the implementation of the new company-wide Quality Management System.
The initial scope of the implementation was Belgium and Switzerland. It was later extended to a German and a US sites. We did a market survey to find the best software solution and I was in charge of its implementation and maintenance.
Setup & context
Quality is key in the Pharma Industry. The complexity of the processes involves many controls that must be strictly followed and evidences must be available in case of audit.
The challenge & problem PROCESS
It took us many meetings to find business processes that suited to all the parties involved. But this phase was also the richest!
Launch, impact, results
The deployment helped the various sites to have a better view of the quality issues and to control the follow up of the corrective actions.
